I've been posting ballast pictures this morning so I thought I'd post these:

Plaster tunnel lining made from a mold. Only used near portals:


Flipped up (Al foil is painted liner for other tracks):


Here's a bridge inside my mountain to cross double tracks. It's a steel plate with a red rubber pad under the cork. There's an angle bracket extending to a side support. A coat hange from the top also helps stop vibration. That's my control panel opened up in the corner of my cave. I can disconnect 2 bales and move it.


I had some trouble making the transition from a 4% grade to level. Note the 12V lightbulb in the blue part (screw-in fixture used to light buildings).

[^] Nice work, I give thanks to guys like you for posting your pictures and giving me ideas for my own layout (still a lot of work to do there). Please keep posting more of your layout. I find looking at them time well spent.
