Dual Gauge Crossing Diamonds

We want to model an area where a logging or mining HOn3 narrow gauge railroad crosses a standard HO gauge railroad. Has any manufacturer ever produced 90-degree crossing diamonds with HO track being crossed by N-scale? I don't recall ever seeing such a track item advertised anywhere.

My guess is that you're on your own for this request. I all my years, I don't think I've ever seen one of those. If you wanted to try one place, it would be Caboose Hobbies in Denver.

Thanks for those links. I saw a lot of dual guage track and turnouts, but no crossing diamonds. I'll continue looking at both sites -- may be it's just hiding from me.

That shouldn't be very difficult to make. I would solder rai;s an d guards to printed circuit board ties. The rail would have to be gapped along with the copper cladding on the PC ties to avoid any electrical shorts. Do both gauges use the same electrical system and voltages?

I believe that you will probably need to have one custom made if you do not feel up to making one yourself. I remember many, many years ago, AHM had an HO scale standard gauge/ N-scale crossing (30-degree, I think) but I doubt you would find one now.

Uh, Do you mean HOn30? N scale track is not the same as HOn3, it is actually a little narrower, but it is used for HOn30. Seems to me I have seen HO/HOn3 crossings but I am not sure who made them or when. Don't recall seeing HO/HOn30 crossings. For HOn30, you might check out this site http://www.hon30.org/ and maybe join their mailing list and post the question.

Thanks to everyone who answered and provided helpful links. It appears that scratch building is in order, so I am going to explore the kits. Something else I hadn't considered is rail code differences between HO and N.
