Staging Elevator
Posted by SOTATRR on Thursday, April 21, 2005 8:51 PM
In the Model Railroad Planning 2005, the artical by Mark Olstyn shows the plans for a staging elevator. How can I get in concat with Mark? I am looking more information on how to build one myself.
My current layout needs a lot of staging and I have very little space for a yard.

TIA

Mike

You could write a letter to Mark Olstyn and put it in a stamped , unadressed envlope, then mail that letter to MRP/Kalmbach for them to forward to Mark. He may or may not answer you depending on his time, etc.

I would suggest being as specific as possible. If you sent me a letter that just said, "Teach me how to build an elevator.", I probably wouldn't answer. If you asked to did you keep the elevator sliding tracks parallel, then I might answer.

If you have questions (once again the more focused the better) you could post them on the forum and there may be those on the forum that could help you also.

If magazines are like book publishers, they will forward your letter to an author that they have published.
