Im currently in the process of building the Atlas HO-17 (Shelf switching layout) and I'm wondering if anyone else has done this layout. If so do you have any tips / recommendations / ideas. Im also looking for some specific buildings, loading docks, or MOW shops that would look good on this layout. The depth of my layout is actually going to be 24inches and width is going to be 12ft unlike the initial requirements of only 15inches wide and 10Ft long. I appreciate any and all input.

Look at Walthers' line of half-flat buildings--they are two or three inches thick, and well-suited to shelf layouts. There are several to choose from. Walthers' team track set is also well-suited for the foreground spurs in that set, since you'll need an industry that doesn't take a lot of physical space.
