Anybody know the Mojave guy !
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 4, 2005 11:57 PM
I can't find that one newer edition of the MODEL RAILROADER in my room,
& I was just wondering "Who was the guy who did that Mojave layout again?"
I've seen the real place a million times & his layout is almost identical.
How did he get, or make those buildings, & how did he do that dirt, "again ".

The 'guy' was Pele Soeborg of Denmark. He scratch built the buildings from photographs. The dirt was applied in the conventional way with paint and white glue. He uses a little coarser sand in the first layer on the hills to 'hold' the ground cover. The dirt was real from his trip to the Mojave, if I read the article right.
Here's a link to his website: soeeborg.dk/hobby.htm

Remember its your railroad
