Has anyone incorporated one of these elements in their model railroad? I've found plenty of pictures of the PROTOTYPE, such as the one on the PRR outside of Enola Yard, but haven't been able to turn up any good model info, short of the couple of paragraphs John Armstrong devotes to the subject in Track Planning for Realistic Operation.

No. There is not enough room on my layout for such a manuever. It looks interesting, but I can't justify building it. Maybe on my club's new layout if the members agree on it.
