I have built a number of smaller HOe layouts, using different types of track each time, from Bemo, Roco to Peco and Tillig. The only track I can wholeheartedly recommend is Peco track and switches. Both Bemo and Roco are not as reliable as Peco, but more expensive. Tillig track is OK, but the switches are too fragile and bound to fail.
