I saw this air brush on Amazon. Has anyone had any experience/opinions about this brush? It has a 23 to 27psi working pressure. At only $30, it looks like it would be worth a look.

Thanks, Fred
With the battery and compressor attached to the airbrush, it may be a bit heavy and clumsy to use.
But, for $30 I think it's worth buying just for "experimenting" purposes.
Who knows, it might actually be a good airbrush.
Rust...... It's a good thing !
Fred, I don't know what your budget is, but Harbor Freight has a compressor and airbrush kit for $90.
I recently bought one, and it is superb.

Hi Fred,
I went to the Amazon listing to have a look at the reviews. 17% of the reviews were rated at 1 out of 5. There is a message there, and it is not good. My suggestion would be to invest in a better quality air brush system. If you have to save for a while, so be it.
Cheers!!
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Thanks all for your help.

True, but 58% were 5 out of 5.
I would like to know more about what type of nozzle attachments come with it. I know the similar ones Micro-Mark sells has one that comes with a broad-spray nozzle and one with a finer nozzle...so one may be better for say painting freight cars or structures, while the other may be better for weathering or finer detail work.
You could buy no-name garbage from Amazon or a real airbrush from a local hobby or art store.
The more people buy cheap junk online, the more local stores are lost.
This was posted in the Layouts and Layout Building section of the forum, so maybe derf is wanting something cheap and convenient to spray some arts & crafts store acrylics on a layout.
A serious modeling airbrush may not apply to this case.

Hi wjstix,
Maybe my assement was wrong. While 58% is not a resounding endorsement, a lot of the complaints were about the airbrushes clogging up. That suggests to me that the airbrush might not have been the problem. Paint that is too thick or lumpy will gum up even the best airbrushes.
I would suggest that those who intend to use the rechargable airbrush should study paint thinning and mixing, and airbrush cleaning techniques.
