Are you asking for HO scale?

If so check out Proto Power West / A-Line.

Ath-39015 ATH SW1500 Handrail Set (fits Athearn) - Applicable Roads: A – PPW/A-Line/Arrow Hobby (ppw-aline.com)

Any set for a SW1500/1000/1001 will work.

The stanchions for Athearn diesels, plus some suitable piano wire, should yield  suitable railings for both the sides and ends...

...a different loco, but similar parts...

Same material on an Atlas loco...

I do regret selling off most of my diesels, even though they're too modern for my layout's time period.

Appears to be sold out.  However, plastic versions seem to be available on eBay.

Please post what solution you come up with. I'm working on an SW1001 myself, and the plan has been to mess around with Precision Scale stanchions and see if I can rig something up, though it's not a perfect solution.

If you look at the first photo that I posted, you'll note that both the locomotives and the turntable used the Athearn metal stanchions, and ordinary .022" piano wire for the handrails.
I'd guess that anybody who purchased Athearn diesels with handrails eventually ended-up with a pretty good stash of useable stanchions, as most kits seemed to have more of them than were needed.

I could go that route.  or fine brass angle with brass wire soldered to it.   a sanother option.  I found another loco that needs handrails as well.    I need to find the spacing of the stanchions as well.
