Wonder if this could be used for a nulti level layout, can get up to 42" of lifting area?
Would be helpful to see what it looks like. I could not easily find it on the Mianne website.

Tried that before. Takes me to their catalog, but it is not obvious, at least to me, as to where they have hidden that particular item.

If you download the printed printed catolog file, you find the lift on there.
I'm not impressed, $1,000.
I did a real quick study of how much it would cost to build the benchwork for my new layout with this stuff - $10,000, I'm sure I won't spend $3,000, even at todays lumber prices, to build what will be about 700 sq ft of benchwork.

This starts to get in the realm of having a layout custom built.
It seems pretty pricey. Unfortunately, there isn't enough information provided to make an informed decision.

Saw a video here last week of a report from the Amherst show and saw a working one. One dose not have to buy all their benchwork, just the working parts, and who knows, they may be willing to sell just the working parts. I know it is ment to have scenery and trains are lighter.
It looks more like furniture to me, and not all that well-done. Anybody with a little imagination could probably come up with something more interesting at a much lower cost.
I built my layout using left-over lumber after I had built my house, although I did add a few sheets of 3/4" firply for cutting arcs for all of the curves needed to negotiate the oddly-shaped layout room, after wifey had expressed her preferences on what the other areas of the basement needed.
