New to resin. Looking at a fairly long stream 10+' on my layout. Finishing the layout scenery in sections. I have about 3' of stream bed finished and would like to pour the resin. Can I pour resin in sections, or do I have to complete all of this at once? I really do not see with the length that I can mix enough resin in one pour. Would like to hear from the experts on options and or advice in this area. Thanks in advance.

Resins are slow drying so just figure if you do all ten at once, just don't get interrupted. Just batch and pour, They will blend nicely. Keep that in mind for the second or third layers as well.

Aim for filling up the waterbody 1/4" for each pour. You should wait 2-3 days before adding another layer. Trying to fill up the entire layer in one application won't work well.
He really made it look easy! I like the idea of the clear plastic inserted in the river to help hold back the resin as it steps down. I will have that problem as well and now have a solution. Thank you!

Is there any reason not to complete the river bed before pouring any resin?
I've done a lot of Envirotex pours.and all but one came out perfectly, but that taught me to start small when you're a newbie. Make a small mlll pond or stream first, before you commit to a big area.
The one that came out poorly was because I hadn't mixed the resin thoroughly, and it stayed sticky and wouldn't harden for days. Mixing another small batch to top-coat the problem pour fixed it.
I usually tint my Envirotex pours with a drop of two of acrylic paint. If you do that, WRITE IT DOWN so you can duplicate the pour.
