Good resource for structure details,clutter,junk
Posted by ChrisVA on Sunday, October 25, 2020 6:32 PM

I'm trying to find an online resource sells resin or white metal castings to details my structures - things like barrels, drums, pallets, crates, tires, "junk".  Who are some good suppliers for these item?
Thanks in advance!

You are in luck, they now sell FSM castings by themselves, Railroadkits sells them, they are the same as was in the FSM kits.

I bought a bunch of that kind of stuff from Wiseman Model Service:

https://wisemanmodelservices.com/HO-Scale-HOn3?limit=100

Of course, prices went up a little since I last ordered, still — what are you gonna do?

Cheers, Ed

The TICHY HO catalogue has some detail offerings, including milk cans, oil drums (with separate lids), skids, pallets, crates, along with some tools and shop equipment.

A lot of such details on my layout came from either trains shows, or random lots of such details on the "used" table at a couple of now-long-gone hobby shops.

...these sacks are also from Tichy...

Hi ChrisVA,

Scale Structures has a lot of detail castings:

http://scale-structures.com/

JL Innovative has both painted and unpainted details:

Bar Mills has a line of detail kits. Scroll down the page a bit:

Blair Line has a few:

Hi Guy,

That's a pretty comprehensive list none the less. Thanks for posting it.

I enjoy using Rusty Rail's resin "junk piles", work benchs, shelves, etc. & Showcase Miniatures corrugated white-metal trash cans.
