Bachmann N Gauge E-Z Track: PC Layout Program??
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, January 13, 2005 10:45 AM
Hi!

I am looking for a Windows layout program that supports the
Bachmann N Gauge E-Z Track, so that I can design
a layout on my computer.

So far, I haven't found anything that includes a track library
for Bachmann "N" E-Z track..

I'd even be happy with scaled graphics of the available tracks,
so that I could arrange them in a CAD / graphics program.

Any help would be appreciated!

Kay.

Kay, I use www.atlasrr.com and they have a free downloadable program and it will handle N gauge, I didn't check if it is ez track or not.

Check it out and see. I use it for HO and O

Just in case any of you are interested Hornby sells HO/OO Scale Track Planning Symbols. I bought some. They are plastic 1/4 scale peices that you clip together and the pieces have printed on them what full scale pieces you would need.
they are very helpful

Thankyou to everyone that has been helping me on this forum!

Thanks for your answers, guys!

Tim,
I do have a demo of 3rd Planit to create a layout, but I don't think it's of much
use to create a layout using for example Atlas track pieces, if the Bachmann tracks
differ in lenght, size and radius from the ones I used in the layout.

pavariangoo,
I would like to design my own layout, rather then copying or modifying an existing one.

As far as I can tell, Bachmann N-Scale E-Z track offers less than 15 different pieces of tracks.
Straight, curved, switches and crossings.
Hard to believe, that there's no library available for those few items in the available layout programs.

I guess I have to make one myself, when I receive my order next week.[:(]
