Need a Structure Builder for Walther Background Kits in MA...
Posted by JON FROST on Saturday, February 9, 2019 7:06 PM

Greetings:

I am looking for someone with better eyesight and manual dexterity than I to build 8 Walther Cornerstone Background building Kits. I live in Western MA and already have the kits, so just need them built, painted and weathered, or I can do the weathering depending on cost.

You can reach me @ [e-mail address removed by moderator]

Thanks so much,

Jon Frost

Bumping your post

Do you have grandchildren, nieces or nephews?  Anyone you know that is active in the boy scouts?

There are ads for professional layout builders, I expect they might charge more than you think.

Jon,

You might get in touch with Stu Gralnik of Salem, Massachusetts. He has a business called Model Building Services that specializes in building kits and custom structures. I don't know what he charges, but I suspect such service comes a considerable cost. He has a website you can check for further details:

Hi, Jon

If you don't mind sending the kits to me in Ohio, I'd be glad to assemble and paint them for you and ship them back to you. I've built dozens of structure kits and I'd be glad to help you out.

Ed, I want to build a vertical lift bridge like the one that Frank (zstripe) recently built.  I will buy the kit and send it to you to be built.

Thank you!  Smile, Wink & Grin

Ha!

The line forms just outside the door... just take a number and have a seat! The doctor will be with you shortly Big Smile

Sure, I have a stack of my own projects, but I'm a "multi-tasker" so I don't mind helping out where I can. Six more weeks of winter, too. It'll keep me occupied.

Aw, Rich. I wish you had let me know sooner. I just committed to building a full-scale RMS Titanic in a bottle for a friend. When I'm done with that I'll look you up Whistling

Thanks for the encouragement, fellows Yes

What a coincidence! Frank told me that very same thing when I asked him to build it. Super Angry

All kidding aside, Ed, that is a very generous offer from you to the OP. You are a very good guy.
