Need Help w/ Woodland Scenics Otis Coal Co
Posted by wdcrvr on Friday, January 11, 2019 2:50 PM

I am getting ready to start puting this kit together and I am having difficulty figuring out where everything goes.  The instructions are minimal and there just aren't enough clear diagrams and photos, especially View 4.  There is a diagram for cutting the basswood which gives measurements in number of strips instead of inches or mm.  I am starting to get some idea of how this goes together but I would really appreciate it if anyone can provide clearer drawings or photos from different angles.  Also I have never put together a metal kit before.  I am guessing that AC glue is the thing to use for the metal to metal and the metal to wood connections.  All help is very welcome.

Thanks

The instructions are on WS web site.

They look pretty detailed to me, but I've never built the kit, way too old for my time period.

Thanks.  Even though the instructions you posted are identical to what came with the kit, it is helpful to have them online where I can zoom in on various parts.

I've hd the same results as you. I gave up on it, and as of now almost all the parts have found new homes in other builds.

Good luck

I can zoom in on various parts.

That does help.
