SS ltd used to number their kits as say K 115 and now they are SS 1115 as an example. Are their any changes in kit design. I used this as an example as I own K 115 (unbuilt), but on their website they have SS 1115 which looks the same and they also have a variation of K 1215 with full interior and to confuse even more they had K 115 2nd edition.

All kits seem to change over time.  Unless you are an avid collector of a particular kit, it's probably impossible to track the timeline of changes.  Some changes are minor like Atlas changing the color of their buildings.  Some are more significant like the big change from horn hook couplers to KD clones.

Probably, the only way to tell is to buy a second kit and compare the two.

As an example, I have two 4-4-2 Roundhouse kits that I bought together used from an estate sale.  One has a can motor, the other an open frame motor.

Just thought someone may have bought the new kit or be a dealer.
