Prior to my last layout, the previous two were "plywood Pacific's".  Things start to get pretty cool when the scenery goes in.

Get 'er going!

It all looks like good steady progress.

How are the trains running? That is what counts at this stage of construction.

Quick question, Harrison, why no subroadbed as opposed to laying directly on the playwood?

I have limited woodworking skills, and I don't have a reason not to.

Looks like you are making progress and it's looking good. Important thing is that you are having fun while doing it. Just wondering, is that a Proto 2000 GP38-2? How does it run and have you converted it to dcc? I have one of those in ICG and I plan on using it on a small switching layout.

Thanks, Ralph

Yes that is a P2K, and the store I bough it from glued the shell on for some reason Dots - Sign, so I haven't converted it to DCC.

Nice work on the layout.

Are the roads gray thin stryene sheets?  I used them on my 1st layout.  I've not decided on what I'll use on my next one, but that is a great alternative to painting gray on the foam.

The roads are made out of gray craft foam.
