Cold soldering irons

Has anybody had experience using these battery operated cold soldering irons? Can you tell me the pro's and cons of using them?

There was a thread on this on the man board. Basicaly, I wouldn't waste my money. It's a light power battery operates resistance soldering unit, and is only suitable for very light work. But NEVER use it on electronics, such as soldering a circuit board, wiring LEDs, or installing DCC decoders. If you bridge the wrong spot accidently, poof!
Someone on the other thread mentioned they were able to get it to work solding feeders to rail, but I still have to say, why bother, a regular soldering iron will do this too with no problem. If you absolutely want a portable battery powered device, the Wahl Iso-Tip cordless soldering iron is a quality tool.
