It looks to be very well done. Nit-picking, the colour balance doesn't do either the layout or the real location justice, and the speed is just a bit fast. Other than that, the scenery is very nice, very realistic, and I appreciated his synching the proto sound for maximum effect. Very commendable.
I am fairly familiar with that part of the world (as is Crandell I'd bet) and would be proud of the job I had done if it were my layout. I would have edited out the part where the train stops instantly as that brought me back to reality just as I was enjoying the Thompson.
If you have a vehicle that doesn't mind going on dirt roads, there are incredible places to railfan from, on the C.P./C.N. mainline(s) between Hope B.C. and Kamloops B.C. It sure makes one understand why it is popular to model. Eye candy for the model railroader.
Thanks for posting.

Nicely done, including the sound, but it might have benefited from a little editing so that we didn't have to watch the same entire train at every locale.

I found that video on YouTube and since MR is building a similar N scale layout, thought it might be a good comparison of modeling work.
I notice that the structures on the MR (Canadian Canyons) layout are more detailed. at least the ones they have shown close up (bridge, snow sheds).
Being near Melbourne, I have seen that layout a couple of times on the exhibition circuit here. Having been up the Thompson River ( well the road alongside it and 40 years ago I hate to admit...) I can verify that that layout captures the feel of that area of BC quite well if not all the actual attributes!!
I did not get a chance to talk to the builders at the time but I would think that they like myself would have had a relatively fleeting glance by comparison to those of us who live in that area or not having the incovenience of the Pacific Pond to cross to get a closer look!
I can applaud layouts that capture the feel of the area they are modelling, something I wish I had the patience, skill, available space and time to do to my own generic Canadian themed layout!
And certainly I look forward to seeing the final MR product which I have not seen yet but such examples give me a few vignettes of ideas I can use,
My thoughts anyway
