Who, if anyone, makes these? I see no. 4 and no. 6, but the only no. 5s I see are in kit form.
I am unable to find a commercial producer, so it looks like you'll have to build your own or ask someone to make them for you.
You could modify a comercial one, did that once.
Hello all,
Why code 70 for HO?
Thanks for the explanation.
"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
I wanted number 5's in code 70 also. I was surprised to find out Shinohara apparently never made these.

Living the dream.
Shinohara used to make a #5 in code 70, however since the current distributer took over, the #5 has been dropped.
They are available as kits from Central Valley, and are somewhat customizable. I keep hearing rumors that Micro Engineering or PECO will offer them, but for now, the Central Valley kits or self built are the only game in town.
Code 70 looks better for yard, industrial and branchline layouts. it's generally no more difficult to work with than the other sizes.
I used code 70 for mainline but then I model the 1930's.
there was a thread discussing Micro Engineering's new yard ladder system of turnouts http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/11/t/259014.aspx
and it seems that there are Micro Engineering #5 HO turnouts available on ebay

I recently found some "New Old Stock" Shinohara #5 turnouts with cod 70 rail.
Unfortunately these were so old that they had brass rail. That would be a deal killer for me.
