Yard trim tower building
Posted by haggfan on Sunday, February 12, 2017 11:51 AM

Does anyone know how I could build or where I can find an N scale model kit of the eastbound trim tower located between the observation spike tower and the 1st set of tracks at the Bailey yard?

Welcome to the forum. If this is the buildign to which you are referring, I don't think that there is an off-the-shelf kit in N scale (or HO, for that matter) that comes very close.

The image is copyrighted and can't be hot-linked, but here's the link:

This photo from the backside looks like a relatively straightforward kitbash or scratchbuilding project, as it’s mostly rectangular. But the front side with the windows is likely more challenging. Perhaps others will know of a candidate kit for modification. Good luck with your layout.

It doesn't look too complicated of a structure that it couldn't be scratched built, or at least represented...simple lines & material

That's exactly the building I'm referring to. And you're right, it's not available anywhere I've looked so kitbashing is gonna have to be the way to go. But need ideas on what kits and parts to use.
