Surprising paint found at Wal Mart
Posted by SeeYou190 on Saturday, January 21, 2017 1:48 PM

I just purchased a bottle of "Antique Silver" from the Waverly craft paint line from my local Wal Mart Supercenter. What a pleasent surprise. It looks like bare steel and the finish is smooth and fully opaque. This is one of the smoothest metallic paints I have even applied with a brush. It is not quite as good as Citadel paints, but it is less than 10% of the cost.

.

I thinned the paint about 30% with Delta's "Float" for acrylic paints, and added a couple of drops of Kodak Photo-Flo. I painted from a wet pallette with a Windsor & Newton Series 7 brush to get the results I have.

.

It is less than $1.50 here. Truly worth a try.
