so i fell for the whole dcc thing & got an atlas commander for $99 at a meet. i will probably need a booster but they cost $139-150
any1 with a cheaper idea?

I've been using the Commander for over 2 years and have never needed a booster. I thought that I would at first (I thought a
lot
of things when I first got DCC.[:I])
I run 2 - 3 trains usually at most. How may locos are you planning to run at the same time.
The Commander only has 5 functions and 2-digit addressing but other than that it's been a fine system.
