Friends,

Do any of you have a paint mix for newish plywood? If you do, would you be willing to share it?

Thanks!

I use KILZ (anti fungal/mold paint) on both sides and all 4 edges twice to seal it. KILZ dries really fast so you can paint any color you want for your basic ground cover under your scenery. I use Corral Dust Brown. Not too dark and not too light. Hopes this helps you some.
Ain't it great!!!

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you using plywood for your benchwork, and wonder how to paint it? Any latex paint will do; pick your favorite color.

I'm guessing you are wondering how to paint something so it looks like model plywood -- that is, like someone has just sheathed a house in plywood. What color should it be?

There's been some discussion, but I don't recall if it was here or in the pages of MR, about how wood looks from a distance. You generally don't see the grain. One suggestion was to take regular wood and look at it from several feet away, like 50 or more. What color is it? Probably a somewhat dappled yellowish-white, depending on age and such.
