I'm interested in knowing if anyone has ever tried to create the Double Crossing RR that was designed by Robert Wegner in the MR July 1974 issue (page 45-47).

Also was wondering what people thought of this plan - pros/cons?

If you want to build a layout with lots of switching, like building scenery and structures, and don't mind all the hidden tracks, it might be interesting. I didn't read the whole article, but based on the track plan, you are going to need a space about 12x12, plus room to walk around it. Maybe a 15x15 room using 18" radius curves( you did notice the reverse loop in the upper part). Personally, I think there are better choices. Just what are you looking for in a track plan?

P.S. After looking at your other postings asking for advise on which plan to build, I discovered your space probably isn't big enough for this one as drawn. There's just too much wasted space in it for the space you have.
