Woodland Scenics Just Plug securing lights
Posted by cp7400 on Monday, February 8, 2016 5:00 PM

Hi,

I am about to put some Woodland Scenics Just Plug lights into my lumber yard buildings. Before I attach the first sticky LED I was wondering if anyone can advise me if the glue on the little light pads is strong enough to hold long term. I know this is a relatively new product but I thought I would ask for experienced opinions.

I could reinforce the glue with a touch of CA but would rather have the ability, down the road, to change out or adjust lights as needed.

Thanks,

Roger

Hi Roger,

I got some to review back around June, and they're still stuck in the building I tested them on. So, at least 6 months. I gave them a little tug, and they held on, so I'd expect they'll stay in place just fine, assuming they're attached to a clean, dry surface.

They proubly use something similar to the sticky stuff used for foam tape, which will hold firm for a long time but will eventualy fail but not for a long time as long as it is a flat surface and clean.

Roger

The ones I used have been stuck for several months with no issues.

Thanks for the replies. Based on what you all say I will get started. I really like the ease of use and versatility of their system.

Thanks,

Roger
