hey sailor38. People reading original post may not open this other post. Why why put your explanation as a response under your original post.
Also, it helps to be specific about subject. "Width of yard" is really your subject, I suspect. "Classification/storage yard" sets up an issue about using a yard to sort out not store cars, as explained in December

, as opposed to "train runner's" use of yard as a place to stick trains when not running.
...Forum mechanics. They are only a little trickier than model railroading itself.
