I am doing a fall scene on my rather large ho layout and was wondering how to do weeds and tall grass. Trying to do this has cheap(but still look good) way has I can as I will need alot. thanks

You could use a bag of the SuperTrees and make them the size you want. I use them for trees and all the small left over stuff as weeds. I attempted using twine and tall grass and it doesn't look real bad.

I found a dye that will dye synthetic fake fur and have a webpage describing the basic technique to use it:

The grass in the picture under the horse is the fake fur dyed California tan
The bushes down and above from the horse are the fake fur spritzed with hair spray and ground foam applied. I am still experimenting with methods of use but I think that this is a really great method of making large areas of grass. I model in O scale but it should scale down.
