Ok got two new Rivarossi FEF-3 DCC ready locos which Digitrax chip goes in?

If it has the 8-pin DCC plug (sounds like it does) the DH163P should work.

Ok so I got the chip. What functions does one of these engines do? I am guessing nothing but the light?

Unless you install a sound decoder, the only thing DCC will do for you is turn the headlight on and off, and control the motor.

So do Rivarossi engines have speakers and all that jazz in them?
I looked up soundtrax website and those are osm epricey items. I may just stick with some steam cd's and speakers in thelayout room.
