All righty. Here's a 54' pulpwood car kitbashed from the Walthers 63' car:

Here's my current "layout" - a 2' by 6' Free-Mo module, the first of a planned three:

And here are photos of my former layout, 8' by 12':

Nice work Bentnosewille!

This is an MDC boxcar kit that I built and weathered...

Okay, those kits are easy, but the weathering took a while. [:D]

I didn't scratchbuild the freight depot, but all the trees and the pond were done from scratch (background was digitally added):

I also did this stream from scratch:

How do you get pictures to show in your message? I tried cutting and pasting with no luck.

You have to have the photo stored in a webspace somewhere, then enclose the URL for the photo in image tags: [img] and [/img] (brackets are in bold so you can see them).

F'rinstance, I take this url:
http://members.trainorders.com/bentnosewillie/model/Ortner.jpg

And enclose it in image tags like so:
[img[http://members.trainorders.com/bentnosewillie/model/Ortner.jpg[/img]

Now I insert the same text as above but with the brackets in normal text and not bold, and I get this:
B-Dubya -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inside every GE is an Alco trying to get out...apparently, through the exhaust stack!

The latest photos are the night shots at the bottom.
In brief, I kit bashed the a loading dock, a passenger platform, fueling and sanding station and weathered anything you see weathered in these photos. I hand made some trees and I'm still learning more and more everytime I go downstairs

Awright, a "look at me thread."

Toadsuck Cannery. This thing had been stuck in a closet for years before I tackled it. The Arkansas Valley Version has these 20th generation warped resin walls and such. I took all the discussion thread advice and built it out of bass stripwood. I did use the resin castings for the stonework and cement pumphouse, though. So I guess this one is sort of scratch built. More like scratch improved.

Considering how many times I dropped my exacto on this project, my back aches just looking at it. The knife would always roll just out of reach from a comfortable sitting position. Looks like Luke Skywalker and company have a monopoly on the Force, because using it just didn't work for me here. I have also quit wearing flip flops when modelling.
