New Layout

Hi everyone. This is my first post here. I have a dilemma .... here goes ....
I am building my first layout (HO scale) I have a useable layout space of 6 feet by 12 1/2 feet. I have been thinking of two 4 /12 foot by 6 foot sections on each end of the room with a 3 foot by 2 foot section connecting the two 41/2 x 6 sections along the back wall. I'm looking for a track plan to fit this area which is not over crowded with track (24" radius minimum curve) and has some industry switching possibilites. Maybe a twisted dogbone ??? Any ideas would be greatly welcome. I already have the benchwork built (but it can be changed) Also, I'm using the digitrax Zephry system.

Well I am 6'5" and can barely reach completely to the back of my 3' wide modules set at 48" height. You might want to consider around the walls with an opening in the center and some sort of bridge over the opening to the area. You might also visit some layouts and see what you like about them to try and incorporate those features. Look at any layout plan for an area your size or smaller that you like. Small railroads can be expanded and made into some super plans.
