You may not have the software to download the file, but you can look at the plans and brief details, you may find one to suit your needs.

This is a discussion forum for members and friends of the Layout Design SIG. It deals with all aspects of model railroad layout design and construction. The focus ranges from discussions about design procedures, techniques and software to most aspects of how to build what you've designed or try to design. They could be of great help for the design of the area you are looking to fill.

Hopes this helps or gets you pointed in the right direction. I've used each for the planning of my RR empire.

This is very good info. I would also suggest...

http://www.nmra.org/beginner/

Also see the headings over on the left side of the screen at the link above.

The following are also Yahoo Email Groups. The first is called
trackplansandsketches, I mention this in case the link doesn't take you there, you can go to
yahoogroups.com and do a search for it. The link is:

There is also the Yahoo group called small-layout-design at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/small-layout-design/

Hope this helps.

Check an article in MR toward the end of the 70's titled "stacked mainlines for mileage which could be of interest. The writer had a square area that he required the trains to travel three sides of the room out of sight before appearing on the next section. It gave him a much longer running time rather than just round and round.

Model Railroad Planning 1996 had some plans to fit a 12x12 bedroom. Two of them are HO and 1 was O which could be easily modified for HO. I also believe that a subsequent issue had bedroom plans as well.

Good Luck...Ken
