Layout Plans Book
Posted by aflyer on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 9:36 PM

I purchased a Layout Plans book published by Kalmbach, and have become interested in one of the layouts featured in the book.  If you have the book, it is called "An S Gauge Experience" by Jay Reese, and it is on page 46 of the book.

My problem is there is no plan, just a photo and a description.  I have sent off an iquiry to Kalmbach for more details, but do not really know what I will get in return.

My question is, has anyone seen this layout or tried to create anything like it?  I have almost enough room to build, and have been looking for a track plan similar to this for a few months.  If anyone has a similar track plan they like, I would like to see it.

Thank you,

George

Including the title of the book might bring you more responses. There are quite a few Kambach books with track plans.

Just wondering if you might be looking for a Classic Toy Trains contest winner of the same name.  http://www.rrtrack.com/html/ctt_contest.html

Doc in Ct,

That is exactly what I was looking for, the plan called "An S Gauge Experience".  It looks like I have to buy the software to be able to download the plan.  I checked the RR-Track site and the software  is priced at $79.00.

I wonder if anyone on the forum has used it, how good is it etc?

Thank you for your response,

George
