Power Pack and Speed Control
Posted by Meren on Thursday, December 25, 2008 11:51 AM

Anyone know if bachmann power pack and speed control is compatible with lima power tracks.

Got one for christmas and its not powering my trains. Is it the tracks which are dirty or the power connector tracks or is the Bachmann power pack not compatible?

You need a test light or a meter.

Is the supply putting out power?

Is the power getting to the power connector?

Is the power getting to the track near the connector?

Is the power getting to the far side of the track?

A test light can be as simple as a 12 volt bulb with two leads soldered on.

I am assuming that this is DC. If not just use a higher voltage bulb. Better information will help us to help you.

Merry Christmas.
