hey all, first off im glad to say im starting back in the hobby after a 10 year hiedus. it feels awesome! but now for the serious questions. i am starting a lay out of the williamsburg, ohio section of the old norfolk & western railway. i have done as much reasearch as i can and im drawing some blanks... i need to know where the original passenger station was placed as far as what side of the tracks. as well as that i was wondering if any of you had some good info on that section? if not thats fine..... by the way i have some pics to share soon of some awesome artifacts and scenery of the area so stay tuned.

What station are you talking about?  N&W probably had a dozen or more along that line.  There were larger passanger/freight combo stations and buches of simple platforms.  Be a little more specific and I can go over to the NS building in Norfolk next week and maybe dig around a little in the museum archives...Smile,Wink, & Grin

I'll look around for the Williamsburg Ohio section of the N&W.  In the mean time, why not contact the historical society?  Here is the info:

The Ohio Historical Society:
Address: 1982 Velma Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211
Telephone: 614-297-2300
Toll-free: 800-686-6124

They would be the best source for your inquiry.

Maptech has historical topo maps of Ohio online for free. You can probably get some idea looking there. http://historical.mytopo.com/index.cfm?CFID=10848764&CFTOKEN=95182554
