The #6 Custom lines (#564) have a standard short length diverging route.

The #6 (505) have a diverging route that is as long as the main route.

The geometry is the same for both turnouts.  The diverging route length is different and the 505 has a throw bar that is a little more heavy duty and extends out both sides of the turnout. The custom line throw only extends out one side and is a little flimsy.
You probably want to use the custom lines with the shorter diverging route for a ladder.
