Atlas N-scale plans : Atlantic long haul

Howdy,
Has anyone built the Atlantic Longhaul Lines (plan # 107) for the book 9 N- Scale Track Plans? I have decided on this plan and was wondering if anyone had any pointers?

Also, any tip on improving Atlas standard remote turnouts? Since i am following this plan, it would be difficult if not imposible to change turnouts.

I built a variation of this plan.

My main goal was to lengthen the layout, reduce the sharpness of the curves, reduce the grade, and the number of turnouts.
