Gsetter they just make sence over pwered units and bending little wires for manual turnouts.

I like the premise but I was a little put off by the clamp and screw device that would show on the layout. The other end is fine but pricey.

I agree. The screws stand out like a sore thumb, but I thought of painting the screws black or replace them with black pan head screws and build a styrene "floor" to hide the clamp section.

It looks like the screws that hold the lever to the layout are themselves screwed onto the actual mechanism. If you had a whole pile of the levers then you could put them all on four bits of small diameter threaded rod - maybe with a nut between the levers to provide a bit of clearance.

Then you could have something to hold the rods at each end and get rid of all the wee screws
