Looking good!
The main line tracks laid with a temporary DC bus run on 2 of the three arms. All test runs successful. Generic scenery base applied to cover the great pink plain
Looks good!
How exciting to get that design and basic infrastructure part out of the way and at least get some trains running while you build. Looks like you're off to a great start. Have fun!

What is that material from Owens-Corning that you are using? Is that Foamular, at what thickness?
I am trying to find it in the So.Cal. area and would love to know what it cost you per sheet?

Jake9,
It's 1-inch Foamular250. Not sure about SoCal, but here in Seattle it's available in 2x8 sheets at Lowes. Price approx $8 if memory serves.

Jake,
I think the price is more like $12, but that could just be New England rates.
There have been posters on other threads who claim that the foam boards are special order only in SoCal.
At least, in CT, it's available at every lumber and hardware store in the county.

Boy! Don't I know it now. I tried all the sources for Owens-Corning and Dow in SoCA and can only come up with one dealer in Dow Square Edge for a whopping $35.95/sheet of 2x8' .
Think I am going to have to make a trip up to SF or Seattle!
Frisco,
As a newbie to the hobby, I'm following your layout progress with interest. It looks great. Lots of luck, with your new pike !
