do they make manual #4@#6 turnouts? Since they'll be close to where i would be operating my trains I dont really need a switch controlled turnout.[D)]

You could attach ground throws to your turnouts, and operate the throws manually. The ground throws are less cumbersome than the manual turnouts, and look more realistic!

Indeed they do--you can also use Peco turnouts, which have snap mechanisms built-in so you don't need ground throws or switch machines. You can also install ground throws on them if you like--they're just not necessary.

Or you can put a "snap" spring on any turnout.....

Most numbered turnouts come without any sort of machine to actuate them, it is assumed that the purchaser will choose a machine, ground throw or other system of his or her choice.

If you're going to operate the turnouts manually, be sure to get insulated frogs.

Peco manufactures turnouts in both types. If you go with Peco, be sure to get the insulfrog turnouts, not the electrofrog.

If you find you have problems with manual turnouts and the insulated / non insulated frog thing, here's a possible fix that doesn't involve scrapping turnouts and buying new. Use insulated joiners on each rail beyond the frog. Then power the track beyond the insulated joiners with new power feeders. Presto! ( at any rate on my layout where it is now standard procedure) no more problems [:D][8D] BTW, I've gone to Peco turnouts despite the difficulty of getting their joiners ont Atlas code 80 track, simply because their manual action is so good (as are their switch machines too).
Hope this helps.
