I HATE MY AIR BRUSH
Posted by Trainman24 on Friday, January 18, 2008 3:55 PM
SoapBox [soapbox]I got a pache airbrush kit for christmas. I just tried it out last night because it did not come with an adapter. The I hooked it up and tried it out and it did not work, I cleaned it and reseted it up and it still didn't work. I'm going to take it to my hobby shop and see what is wrong.Censored [censored]

Can you be a little more specific than "It didn't work"? Did air go through the needle? Did you try spraying water through the airbrush to test if it was working?

Ya a little more info would be handy...plus, hate to bring it up, but did you read the directions?? Wink [;)]

Could be it works differently than other airbrushes you're used to. On some airbrushes you push down on the trigger to get air flowing, and pull back on it to allow paint to go thru. On others you push down the trigger to start the air, then manually have to adjust something to let the paint thru to the desired amount. Are you sure it's getting air thru to the airbrush?? Is the suction tube sucking up the paint...is the tube attached properly?? Lot of possibilities.

I'd load it up with water and experiment a bit.

Do they need to be primed?  Never seen or used one, but maybe they need a kick start of some kind?  Could it be clogged already because of improperly mixed or bad paint?

Laugh [(-D]

Old addage.."If at first you don't succeed, read the directions!''

I'm not familiar with ''pache'' airbrushes...I am familiar with Passche brushes, and if this is indeed what you have, more info is needed.

I don't recall if my H set came with a plastic tip protector [I got it 20+ years ago], but my VL brush had a plastic tip to protect the needle, and you have to remove this before it will work.

If you give us more info we can most likely save you a trip to the LHS.

Just put some water in it and play around. Sounds like your not doing something right. Paaches are pretty simple.

What do you mean it didn't come with an adapter? For air tank? For propellant can?Confused [%-)]
