I started drawing out the plan for my layout thats been floating around in my head for a while and the left side of the layout was easy to draw but on the right side I'm just stumped. The layout is 8'X15". Here's a diagram.
The building in the top right corner can slide along the back but has to have rail access and must be against the backdrop. I also want a run-through track and a run-around on this end. Half the ingot stripping yard should go on this end of the layout too, the other half will exist in a mirror. I just want to see any ideas I could get from the forums. Thanks!
You have a building near the center with 3 tracks going into it. I will number them from left to right 1-2-3. I would remove the #2 track switch and put a curved left hand switch in its place, with the frog on the right end. That is one end of the run around. the switches for tracks 2 and 3 beak off the runaround track. The other end of the runaround will be righ hand crossover, with the straight leg on the top track going into the building on the right and the straight leg of the bottom track going outside the building in the corner , below it.

Thanks alot. I don't know why I didn't see it in the first place. Here's the finished plan.
If you see any potential problems please point them out. Thanks, Chad.
Take the locomotive and car(s) you intend to actually use on the layout and run them through ALL your spurs and switches. Make sure they fit !
I am going to have to relocate one business on my layout because I cannot fit an 0-4-0T plus a 50-ft boxcar through a switchback, unless I stick 2" of track off The Edge Of The World.
