Intermountain Flat Cars
Posted by bagman on Sunday, December 30, 2007 8:45 PM

Hi there

Obscure question I know, but can anyone advise what the build dates are for the Intermountain flat cars ?

Modelling a late 40's/early 50's layout and want to make sure I'm running the appropriate equipment.

Many thanks in advance for your replies

regards

Bagman,

Go to http://www.imrcmodels.com/ho/hoflatcar.htm and click on any of the flatcar photos. Most of them will show you the 'Built Date' in the new window that opens.

Hi Don Z

Thank you for replying.

Had tried that and could only see build dates of late 60's/early 70's.

I'm after late 40's/early 50's so thought perhaps I was missing something.

Were flat cars in use during that time ??

cheers

I think the Intermountain cars are all 60' cars. I would think that the earlier years (40's/50's) would have been 40' or 50' flat cars.
