Sources for "traditional" RR typefaces
Posted by bcrews on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 6:07 PM
Several years ago there were electronic versions of Zephyr Gothic, Railroad Roman and other typefaces used by prototype railroads during the steam and early diesel eras. These shareware fonts seem to have all but vanished.

Does anyone know where they can be found? Using them would make the preparation of decal art MUCH simpler.

Thanks.

IIRC, Railroad Roman is actually Cheltenham Bold Extended.

Hats off to rda1964 for mentioning railfonts.com. I have some Mac-based fonts, but this is like hitting a bases-loaded home run in the bottom of the ninth! THANKS FOR THE TIP!
