I am in the planning stages of building an N scale layout. I have gotten the Bauchmann Empire Builder and it came with E-Z track. Is it possible to use this track along with the Atlas track for the rest of the layout?
I am in the process of remodeling the entire upstairs of my house to use as a train room. The biggest of the three rooms will be for my HO scale which I already have in a building out back but will have to be moved. The middle size room will be for the N scale, and the smallest room will be for my upstairs workshop. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, Mike
There are almost always ways to make different track types play nice together.
For example, this is a code 80 Atlas transition to code 55 Atlas piece I made by adding a joiner onto the code 80 piece, then flattening the end sticking out and soldering the code 55 piece on top.
When there's a will, there's a way.
I have never used the track type you have, but I'm sure that it can be made to work.
As long as the rail ends are the same gauge and the rail heads end up at (or within a few thousandths of) the same height, trains will operate over just about anything.
Getting everything to line up and stay lined up may require some creative tracklaying, but it can be done.
