What happened to the "Ballast in a Can" thread?
Posted by UP2CSX on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 4:59 PM
Is there something wrong with the indexing system here or what? This thread was here this morning and now it doesn't show up in the list of topics. I can find it if I search but not by paging through the topics. Is there some way this can be fixed? I spent considerable effort uploading pictures to that thread and I think it's of general interest to the members. If it was intentionally deleted, I can't imagine why except for mentioning that "auction site" to another member who wanted know where I got a traffic light in one of the pictures. One way or another, I'd like to know what's going on.
Regards, Jim

It's still there. First page.

Thanks, Lothar. I did a page refresh and just saw it there too. I did several page refreshes before and it never showed up. I still think there's an indexing problem here.

[Edit] I just noticed secondhandmodeler (Corey) bumped the thread and then it showed up. Corey, did you find the thread from a search and then bump it? If so, that would confirm my idea that there's a database indexing problem.

I saw it further down the page.  I have noticed a little quirkiness(sp) with the refreshing of pages though.

I've noticed some weird stuff too. If I make a reply and hit post, I get the white "page not found" IE error screen. It still posts my reply but it's a pain in the butt.

It's funny what bothers me now on DSL compared to what I put up with on dial up 10 years ago.Tongue [:P]
