How do i work with Micro Engineering turnouts? Help!!!!!
Posted by BNSF_conductor on Monday, July 16, 2007 2:04 AM

I am building my first layout alone from an old layout that my buddy helped build for me.  He had all atlas track and all code 100.  Well i tore all that up and i want to put down scale sized track with micro engineering track.  The turnouts have me wanting to cry.  Atlas seemed so much easier..put on rail joiners and it's done.  Not the turnouts from ME.  I have read books and none really say how to wire them but they say the wiring is more complexed. I have two questions about these turnouts and i need help.

1. How do i wire them?  Are rail joiners enough?  If not, what else do i need to do?

2. Atlas turnouts have a throw bar that can be connected to a switch stand but ME dose not. So does someone sell throw bars or do i need to make them out of wire?

Thanks for your help everyone.  And please guide me like i was in 5th grade so i understand.

Thank you
