Meeting grandpa

On the left. 1950's Lionel Hudson. On the right BLI's Hudson. The Lionel version took us from toy trains to scale models. Junior is the latest result. Interesting contrast. The lionel being AC power and very simple. The BLI being DCC with complex electronics. The BLI still uses and ac current as part of the DCC system. So much in one pic. Just as a note, the distance between the middle rail and out rail is exactly the same as HO gauge. As demonstrated by the BLI Hudson. And no the power wasnt on.

Pic taken on my small 4x8 lionel postwar layout. A model railroad of a model railroad layout from the 50's. Who would have thought the day would come when one can make a model railroad of a model railroad from the 50's.
