Extra 1560 West :: Port Rowan, Ontario

It's a hot August afternoon in 1957 and with white extra flags flying, CNR 4-6-0 1560 arrives at the end of the Port Rowan branch with a short freight.
The scene is on Trevor Marshall's S scale prototype-based layout, which depicts a lightly-trafficked branch line on the north shore of Lake Erie in its twilight years. The locomotive is a brass kit custom-built by Simon Parent. Trevor heavily modified an HO scale 90-foot turntable kit from Custom Model Railroads to represent the prototype's 65-foot turntable in S. He also scratch-built the section house and storage barn from prototype photos.
Trevor maintains an extensive blog about his layout at http://themodelrailwayshow.com/cn1950s
