Back in the mid 70's B&M refurbished there fleet of caboose's into solid blue no more black stripe in the middle.C-87 is one of the rebuilt caboose's from wooden ones in 1959, rebuilt by International car co. at 24 feet long there cupala's were like wide vision caboose's but with no over hang on the side and for a little while they looked nice and clean but after many trips threw the Hoosac Tunnel they got dirty fast. These caboose's were restricted from interchange service because of the age of there under frames and were used in local and transfer service.
